The
history of film began in the late 1880s with the Lumiere brothers having held
the first public film screening, in a room below the Parsian Café. The black
and white images flickered in the silent screen and though this was a silent
movie, the magic of movies has continued ever since then to this day.
The
motion pictures developed to be one of the most important shaper of the 20th
century as modes of communication and entertainment and in the 21st
century as the tool of mass media. Later with the development in science and
technology rapidly; sound arrived and then the colour and today the complex
films often involve stunning special effects with movie models too. Film
production is now an international industry, generating great wealth and
employing thousands worldwide.
